Everything you need to know about our mobile grooming service

Do you need water or electricity?

In most cases, no. Our grooming van is fully self-contained and designed to operate independently. In the rare event that an electricity or water connection is required, we come equipped with everything necessary to access it seamlessly.

Where do you travel?

We service clients within a 15-mile radius of Jupiter, Florida. A small fuel surcharge of $25 applies to locations beyond that distance. We arrive directly at your home, and all grooming takes place inside our state-of-the-art mobile salon. Please note: We require two standard car-sized parking spaces for safe and proper setup.

How does scheduling work?

We do our best to arrive as close as possible to your scheduled appointment time. However, real-world factors—such as traffic, weather, and unpredictable pet behavior—may affect arrival windows. For this reason, clients must be available for up to two hours surrounding the scheduled appointment. (Example: If your appointment is at 11am, please remain available from 11am–1pm.) Latchkey Service is the only exception.

Do I need to be home during my appointment?

Not necessarily. We proudly offer a Latchkey Service for returning clients. You are required to be present for your first appointment; after that, you may qualify for this service. We will simply need instructions for access, such as an outdoor key location or garage code. If paying by card, a secure payment link will be texted to you and must be completed by 8pm the same day. If you are not home, your pup must be safely crated or contained in a small room for easy pickup.

Do you express anal glands?

We do not express anal glands. This procedure should be handled by a licensed veterinarian, as anal glands require proper diagnosis and professional medical evaluation. If you suspect discomfort or issues related to the anal glands, please consult your vet for appropriate care.

How often should my dog be groomed?

We recommend regular grooming every 4–8 weeks, depending on your dog's coat length and type. If brushing at home is minimal, more frequent 4–6 week visits may be necessary. For heavy-shedding breeds, the 4–8 week schedule helps keep shedding under control. Dogs receiving only our bath package may also benefit from routine appointments to maintain healthy nails.

How can I help my new puppy adjust to grooming?

Early introduction is key. Begin at home before their first appointment by gently brushing them all over and handling their feet, toes, and nails regularly. Pro Tip: Glide an old electric toothbrush over their paw pads and nails—the gentle vibration mimics clippers and grinders. We highly recommend scheduling a grooming appointment shortly after bringing your new puppy home.

How can I help my anxious or energetic dog?

Mobile grooming is ideal for anxious pups, offering a calm, quiet environment. For anxious dogs, consider calming treats one hour prior, or prescription medications like Gabapentin two hours before. For high-energy dogs, a long walk or active play beforehand helps them settle for a more relaxed experience.

Can senior dogs still be groomed?

Yes. Senior dogs benefit from grooming, though age or health conditions may require a gentler, more specialized approach. Some seniors may do best in a vet or multi-staff salon setting. If you're unsure what's safest for your pup, your veterinarian can help guide you.
